B3DoseStix Dosimeters

Introduced at IMRP 2003, with a variety of new features, this dosimeter offers a new level of convenience to dosimetry professionals.

Eliminating the need for protective gloves, forceps or small suction devices, the DoseStix can be removed from their peel-open pouches and placed directly into a spectrophotometer by hand. This design (15mm by 50mm) simplifies the dose measurement process.

The DoseStix dosimeter design reduces variability during the readout process. With only one way to place the DoseStix into the spectrophotometer properly fitted with a GEX DoseStix Holder (#P4506), variability of placement in the holder is reduced. Also, the stationary DoseStix holder eliminates the variability component of placing a holder into the spectrophotometer.

Each DoseStix dosimeter is uniquely numbered and barcoded, and the barcode displayed through a proprietary, high-barrier, transparent pouch. This laminate pouch material also protects the B3 film from stray UV radiation, and the hermetically sealed pouches provide a 5 plus year shelf-life.

The barcoded DoseStix products are available in single (#B3001DS) or double (#B3002DS) replicate packages or in continuous dosimeter strips of 15 consecutively numbered dosimeters (#B3106DS).

B3WINdose Dosimeters

The backbone of the WINdose System, the B3WINdose dosimeters offer all the benefits available in a radiochromic film dosimeter. Small and versatile, these dosimeters are valuable for all types of monitoring and testing.

Like the DoseStix, the B3WINdose dosimeters are uniquely numbered. They are also packaged to suit the differing needs of our clients; from pre-packaged, barcoded, hermetically sealed foil pouches to bulk packages and special orders. B3WINdose dosimeters are also used in GEX array products such as B3106 Strip Arrays and B3110 Wedge Arrays.

B3 RisøScan Dosimeters

B3 RisøScan dosimeter products are designed for use with the RisøScan Software. As with all GEX dosimeter products, the RisøScan dosimeters are pre-packaged and hermetically sealed. The following dosimeter products have been designed to be used with RisøScan:

B3307 - Energy Card with 20 mm wide B3 film strip.
The energy card is die-cut with alignment holes that fit over the posts on the Risø aluminum wedge to assure a highly reproducible means of orientation alignment of the B3 film with the "top" of the wedge.

B3308 - Uniformity B3 film strips
These 20 mm wide and 280 mm long pre-cut film strips provide a consistent source for dose uniformity measurements.

B3103 - Area Uniformity B3 film sheets
These 20 cm by 28 cm B3 film sheets are ideal for large area measurement applications.

Calibrating B3 Dosimeters

Our calibration products and services are designed to help you perform and control the results of your specific calibration and obtain reproducible dose measurement results. Our calibration service package includes fitting 5 different curves of your data using built-in statistical functions to determine a "best fit". Coefficients of the calibration curve are then transferred directly into the automated WINdose for Excel dose estimation software for your use.
