National Standards Laboratory Traceable Calibration Product and Services

GEX offers a comprehensive line of dosimeter batch calibration products and services for gamma, electron beam and x-ray applications, and we have developed a number of standard products and services to simplify and control the calibration process.

We provide a complete dosimeter batch calibration service for a wide range of application users. The calibration service package provides traceability to a national laboratory and includes:

  • Standardized protocols with formal procedures and international expert consulting
  • Dose traceability to national standards
  • Standard calibration phantom holders
  • In-stock reference transfer standard alanine dosimeters
  • Validated software designed specifically for calibration applications

GEX uses formalized calibration procedures to assure highly reproducible results from calibration to calibration. We perform dozens of calibrations and fit hundreds of calibration curves each year. Our full turnkey calibration service package allows a user to follow either of the two ISO/ASTM 51261 currently recommended calibration methods.

  1. Laboratory calibration performed at a certified high dose calibration laboratory with in-situ (in-plant) calibration verification.
  2. Full in-plant calibration using reference transfer standard dosimeters.

Users can select the source of calibration traceability from the following calibration laboratories:

  • NPL - National Physical Laboratory - England
  • NIST - National Institutes of Science and Technology - Washington DC
  • MDS Nordion - Canada
  • Risø National Laboratory - Denmark
