GEX Dosimetry Workshops
Our April workshop was our 8th workshop in 4 years and continues to be a valuable experience for people looking for training on the implementation and maintenance of a quality dosimetry program applying the published ISO/ASTM dosimetry standards. Over the years the workshop has drawn participants that have a wide range of backgrounds in dosimetry from beginners to those with over 15 years of dosimetry experience as well as all levels of personnel from Dosimetry Technicians to Sterility and Quality Assurance Managers.

Transfer Standard Dosimetry Traceable to Risø National Laboratory
For many years now, GEX has offered fast and effective delivery of Risø Transfer Standard Alanine dosimeters for industrial facilities who wish to calibrate their routine dosimeters in-situ. Users please note that the accredited upper range of this dosimeter has been officially raised from 70 kGy to 100 kGy by Risø. The total range for the Risø Transfer Standard Alanine is now 0.2 kGy to 100 kGy.

GEX also recommends and coordinates calibrations with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), MDS Nordion, and NIST who all offer Transfer Standard Dosimeters.

International Meeting on Radiation Processing (IMRP) 2006
As this bi-annual meeting rapidly approaches, GEX would like to remind all of our subscribers that the next IMRP will be held February 26 – March 3rd, 2006 at the Hilton in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia. The meeting is being hosted by Sterilgamma. As in the past, this meeting will attract attendees and presenters from around the world, and cover a wide range of topics including discussions of businesses and markets and presentations on emerging applications and technologies. Áerial Aer’ODE Dosimetry System Demonstration at
GEX Corporation offices in Centennial Colorado
Áerial will be in Centennial Colorado to demonstrate its dosimetry systems to GEX staff and others interested in seeing what their systems have to offer. GEX would like to invite any interested parties to schedule a visit and take the opportunity to meet with Dr. Florent Kuntz. Áerial has been providing integrated dosimetry systems with valuable software programs for approximately 15 years and will be demonstrating their particular capabilities to integrate the GEX WINdose and DoseStix dosimeters into their Aer’ODE Dosimetry System.
