GEX
at IMRP
We would like to invite you to stop by our
booth at IMRP, and look forward to seeing old friends
and meeting new ones!
GEX
will be introducing important new products such as RisøScan
and B3DoseStix (see articles about new products below).
Our top technical staff will be on hand to answer your
questions and provide demonstrations. Food irradiation
users may be interested in an extension of our popular
automated WINdose System utilizing GAFCHROMIC® Dosimetry
Film (Dose Range .05Gy to 5,000 Gy).
One-on-one
meetings and in-depth demonstrations are available in
our customer hospitality suite. To arrange a personal
meeting please call us (303-400-9640), or simply come
to the booth to arrange a time.
RisøScan
Demonstrations at IMRP
Developed by Risø National Laboratory,
RisøScan allows users to scan large areas/strips
of B3 Film on a PC Scanner and analyze the results with
the some groundbreaking data display options.
GEX
will be demonstrating this revolutionary new software
at our IMRP booth and hospitality suite. Can't make
it to IMRP and still want to see RisøScan? Contact
GEX for a web-based demonstration.

DoseStix
Dosimeters
The new hand-held version of our B3 dosimeters will
be formally released at IMRP. This exciting new configuration
allows you to discard those dosimeter handling tools
and simply use your fingers.
The 50cm x 15cm DoseStix dosimeter comes with a uniquely
numbered barcode and batch ID on the dosimeter, which
can be viewed and scanned through a proprietary see-through
pouch with UV resistant and environmental barrier protection.
DoseStix
will be on display and demonstrated at IMRP. You may
also contact GEX to obtain samples and learn more about
this new product.

CIRMS
12th Annual Meeting
The
Council on Ionizing Radiation Measurements and Standards
(CIRMS) 2003 is having its 12th annual meeting October
27-29 at NIST in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The meeting
theme this year is "Radiation/Radioactivity Measurements
and Standards" and addresses the needs of industry
and communities using medical, environmental, radiation
processing, and occupational radiation and radioactivity
standards. Check out http://www.cirms.org/meetings.shtml
for information on registration. Also, find out more
information about CIRMS at www.cirms.org.
Food
Irradiation and Sterilization Dosimetry
GAFCHROMIC
Film (.05Gy to 3,000 Gy) can be used to extend the range
of the popular WINdose System for use in Food Irradiation
and other low dose applications. GEX is creating use
protocols and tools to enable users of the WINdose System
to extend the dose range to less than 1.0 Gy, making
the WINdose System the most diverse system available.
No additional equipment is needed to use GAFCHROMIC
films with the WINdose System, and the films may also
be used with the RisøScan System.
