September 17-20, 2007 (Monday - Thursday)

The September Workshop is filling up fast, with only 3 spots remaining. We encourage you to register as soon as possible!

Our Workshop will detail the latest industry practices, including the newly revised ISO 11137 Radiation Sterilization standard and the new in-situ calibration capability for low energy electron beam users.

Workshop participants receive a copy of Dr. Kishor Mehta's book Radiation Processing Dosimetry - A Practical Manual in addition to the Workshop Certificate and a Workshop Notebook. Obtain registration information and an overview of the course from the GEX education page on our website www.gexcorp.com/GEX_educ.html or contact a GEX sales representative at 303-400-9640.

It's a great way to gain real, hands-on experience and exchange ideas with other participants!

The May 2007 Workshop was a success!

The May 2007 Workshop was at full capacity, with 8 participants. It was an active, interesting group, with lots of questions. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful Colorado scenery and the nice weather we were blessed with during the springtime!

A New Product to Meet Your Demands - P4900 Micro Incubator!

A top-quality, high-speed incubator for post-irradiation heat treatment of dosimeters
Our customers have been asking for a faster and better way to heat-treat post irradiated B3 WINdose and DoseStix dosimeters. The new P4900 meets this demand! Offering an accelerated, more consistent heating method, the P4900 excels when compared to typical air incubators.

The unit provides total B3 color development in as little as two minutes with heat treatment uniformity of ±0.2°C. The design of the micro incubator allows simultaneous heat treatment of up to 18 dosimeter packages in a single batch.

For more information about the P4900, visit our website and download the P4900 Product Information sheet, or call GEX at 303.400.9640.

Important Announcement from Aérial: The Popular Aer'ODE Software Now Available for B3 WINdose and DoseStix Users
Aérial of France announces that the new Genesys 20 compatible version of their popular Aer'ODE software is now available for use with B3 WINdose and DoseStix dosimeters.

In addition, Aérial's new Aer'EDE alanine EPR based dosimetry system can integrate and operate on the same database as their original Aer'ODE software. They are also working on development of a robot for the EPR alanine to simplify and speed-up the alanine readout process.

To learn more about these new Aer'ODE B3 dosimetry system or the Aer'EDE alanine EPR dosimetry system, visit our website under "Dosimetry Systems" - http://www.gexcorp.com/windose.html

Or you may contact Florent Kuntz at Aérial directly to arrange for a demonstration: florent.kuntz@aerial-crt.com

To Measure or to Estimate... that is the Question
Those "dose modelers" out there who want to develop and validate mathematical models for use in radiation process investigations and applications should be interested in the latest info from the two main user groups. You can join a separate group at RPSMUG ($300/year) http://www.rpsmug.org or get in on the modeling group effort being coordinated within the EU Panel on Gamma and Electron Irradiation. The Panel Group has just completed a review of some of the more popular Monte Carlo codes that is now available and can be found at: www.irradiationpanel.org/docs/publications/Monte%20Carlo%20Code%20Review%20May%2007.pdf For information contact Chris.Pyne@reviss.co.uk
