Our full line of dosimeter products are ideally suited for use in gamma, electron beam and x-ray modalities, such as medical device sterilization, crosslinking, food irradiation and research.

 

B3 Dosimetry Products

The B3 dosimeter lines are our cornerstone products and they earned respect in the industry due to the product’s suitability for use in many different applications and the features described below.
Features:

  • Wide dose range (<1.0 kGy to 150 kGy) that can satisfy most application requirements;
  • Wide temperature range (-5.0˚C to 60˚C) that permits use in many applications;
  • High uniform thickness that eliminates need to measure individual dosimeter thicknesses;
  • Flexible and sufficiently thin to resolve dose at product material interfaces with minimal impact on the dose outcome;
  • Pre irradiation stable - provides a 10 year plus shelf-life;
  • Stable irradiation response function provides predicable doses and permits long-term use of a batch calibration;
  • Post irradiation heat treatment renders B3 dosimeters stable for a year or more with heat treated B3 dosimeters used as references for the maintenance of instrumentation;

B3 DoseStix Dosimeters

DoseStixThis dosimeter offers a new level of convenience to dosimetry professionals. Eliminating the need for protective gloves, forceps or small suction devices, the DoseStix can be removed from their peel-open pouches and placed directly into a spectrophotometer by hand. Each DoseStix dosimeter is uniquely numbered and barcoded for quick scanning and absolute traceability. The dosimeter is packaged within a transparent pouch protecting the B3 film from stray UV radiation, allowing barcode scanning of the dosimeter through the sealed pouch, and providing a long shelf-life.

 

Being so user friendly, the DoseStix is the flagship dosimeter at GEX and is used widely for routine monitoring and for 3 dimensional area dose mapping in Gamma and Electron Beam sterilization applications. A measurement can be performed in as little as 5 seconds and in comparative testing proved to be 2 times faster than our WINdose dosimeters due to the ease in handling. The DoseStix provides the simplest and fastest readout of any dosimeter on the market.


B3WINdose Dosimeters

DoseStixB3WINdose dosimeters offer all the benefits available in a radiochromic film dosimeter. Small and versatile, these dosimeters are valuable for all types of monitoring and testing.

 

Like the DoseStix, the B3WINdose dosimeters are uniquely numbered for absolute traceability and convenience. They are also packaged to suit the differing needs of our clients; from pre-packaged, barcoded, hermetically sealed foil pouches to bulk packages and special orders. We offer a series of specialized products in the WINdose line for electron beam qualification dose mapping as well, such as our B3110 Risø Wedge Cards. The wedge cards make setting up and conducting an electron beam energy test simple and highly reproducible with minimal time and effort.

 

 

B3 RisøScan Dosimeters

DoseStixIdeal for use in dose mapping applications where high resolution benefits the user, RisøScan allows users to scan and analyze dosimeter film in one simple step. B3 RisøScan dosimeter products are designed for use with the RisøScan Software. As with all GEX dosimeter products, the RisøScan dosimeters are pre-packaged and hermetically sealed, for protection and long shelf-life.

CTA Dosimeter Film - FujiFilm FTR-125

The FTR-125 cellulose triacetate (CTA) dosimeter has been used in the radiation processing industry for many years in various applications. This dosimeter is particularly useful for high dose applications with a dose range of 10 kGy to 300 kGy. The format is 8mm x 100m and can be employed for routine or dose mapping measurement applications in Electron Beam, Gamma or X-ray processing modalities. GEX is a distributor of the FTR-125 dosimeter film for all of the Americas, Europe, Malaysia and Thailand. Alanine Dosimeters

Perfect for low dose applications, such as food irradiation, GEX has partnered with Aerial to offer the Aer’EDE Dosimetry System to users who find Alanine suitable for their application. GAFCHROMIC Film - GAFstix Dosimeters

GEX can laminate and die-cut different types of GAFCHROMIC® Films to create GAFStix dosimeters that handle as easy as our B3 DoseStix. Implementing GAFstix requires no additional parts to our WINdose Dosimetry System, but require a batch specific calibration be performed by the user. Such films can be used successfully in certain applications for measuring doses from near background up to 5 kGy.
