Dosimetry for Research Applications

Ionizing radiation research applications will typically carry their own specific requirements concerning dosimetry. GEX can assist researchers and those with special radiation processing applications find a solution that meets their needs. Through our extensive network of colleagues we will find a dosimetry system that meets both your technical and budgetary requirements.

For many applications, our radiochromic film based dosimetry solutions can provide the measurement accuracy and stability needed for the most discriminating investigator. These systems use or proven off-the-shelf WINdose Dosimetry System with either our wide dose range (<1.0 kGy to > 150 kGy) nominal 18 micron thick B3 film dosimeters or the low dose range GAFCHROMIC film dosimeters (<1 Gy to > 3,000 Gy).

GEX also offers a high quality reference class dosimetry system based on alanine dosimeters. The Aer’EDE alanine pellet dosimeter based solution was developed by Aerial of France as an elegant factory validated design controlled total dosimetry solution. The Aer’EDE system integrates with a user supplied Microsoft Windows based PC and comes with the proven 21 CFR Par 11 compliant database software that can be used to cover a dose range as low as 20 Gy to more than 100 kGy.
